In Myaung Township, the army killed and burned five villagers

After two days of fighting in Shwe Lhan village, the army raided a village on their way back and killed four villagers and a mentally ill man and set them on fire.

The army stormed Khaung Kwe village on December 10 after fighting with the local People's Defense Force (PDF) in Shwe Lhan village on the east bank of the Chindwin River, which borders Myaung Township.

A local man in Khaung Kwe village told Myanmar Now today (December 13). He said "Military bastard took off villagers clothes and set villagers on fire. The clothes were found piled up between the clinic and the school. As for the mentally ill man, he was shot dead after he cursed at the soldiers upon hearing gunshots".
