127 people were arrested in the Letpadan crackdown. Many were injured and those who fled into homes and jungles nearby. Some witnesses said police forced entry into locals’ homes to remove protesters in hiding.
My perspective on this incident:
The students protested peacefully, therefore they should not treated as like as criminals. The ruling government proudly announced several times that they are practicing democracy in Myanmar but the way they did to the student protesters reveal that they are same as the previous military government. “Deeds are better words” –what you do is more important than what you say
Actually, same people but the only difference is uniform. I think, I do not need to elaborate about who they were because it is very obvious.
